My picture won't download off the camera. I stand for Family and strong family connections. I am very close with my family and extended family and I think it is very important to have people that you can always go to and people that always have you back no matter the situation. Family is so important and should be for everybody.
The warm up that was the most beneficial for me was when we drew the upside down man. It taught me that you have to draw and look for the shapes in things to make your drawing experience easier. This drawing was one of the first I have done and it taught me a lot of stuff I didn't know and was really cool to look at the shapes in the man.
The most difficult thing for me in this class was dealing with charcoal. I hated using this medium and I don't think it looks good when I use it. It's messy and gets everywhere and it's not my favorite. I dislike it very much!! It looks really cool when other people do it and can actually handle it but not when I draw with it. To resolve this conflict I guess I could keep trying to draw with it and practice.
I drew flowers and instead of coloring them in, I stippled them. This was a skill taught to me by multiple mini lessons and projects before hand. It was a long frustrating journey but turned out to look super cool in the end!
The project where I learned and grew the most was the mini lesson with the spheres to show the light and shades. This made me realize that you have to pay attention to everything while arting, even where the light source is coming from to draw the shadows and light. It made me a better artist overall.
My definition of art has definitely changed I look at art in many different ways now. I now know that you can make art out of anything and everything. Before I only viewed art as painting and drawing and sculpting but this class taught me that everyday things can be art, like styrofoam, nature ect... I chose this option because I thought it would be really cool to stray from drawing and painting and use the camera to capture art. The most challenging part was trying to figure out what angles look best for the person. Alexa Ateshian took the pictures of me and I took the pictures of her. I think that it was pretty successful because it did turn out as we envisioned. At first we wanted to paint our faces but then decided to not. I picked the create your own project. The most challenging thing was to make all the layers stand out in some way! I think that project was pretty successful because I liked the way it turned out and looked overall. I was originally going to make the octopus out of cut paper but I decided to do it out of acrylic paint. |
